Pridearama
In 2018 I co-founded Pridearama, the LGBTQ+ network at Karmarama. Our ambitions were to make the agency as inclusive as possible for people of all genders and sexualities. We also wrote briefs for the agency specifically to make work that promotes representation of LGBTQ+ communities.
We launched the network in LGBTQ+ history month with a programme of events. I hosted the industry's first ever panel of trans and non-binary people to discuss their representation in advertising.
We created a portfolio masterclass for LGBTQ+ creatives in collaboration with The Dots to give them a hand on getting into the industry.
All along side film screenings, a social media takeover and inviting trans activist, Charlie Craggs, in to run her #nailtransphobia workshop, creating a safe space for asking the questions you can never really ask.
Although I no longer work at Karmarama, the network lives on and my advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community continues.
